Summary: Beautiful area, lakeside. Had a very relaxing comfortable stay at this lovely cozy home. The weather wasn’t exactly on our side but we enjoyed staying in and relaxing and making puzzles and memories. Close to Bar Harbor and Bangor. Great view from Flat Rock. Wish there were a few less trees so you could have a better view of the lake from inside but that’s minor. Had a great time!!

Summary: What an iconic Maine lakehouse vacation! The house has plenty of space, and did I mention seemingly never-ending views of the water?! Not only was it beautiful, it had amenities galore, to include kayaks, life jackets, fishing poles and gear, board games, puzzles and lots of Maine guidebooks! We would definitely do this again!

Summary: The house at Flat Rock was great. It was beautiful inside, spacious, comfortable, very well stocked, great view, lots of things to do that were supplied for us. We didn't get to enjoy the outside much because of the weather, but it would be a great spot in the warmer months. It is about 45 minutes to Acadia and about 35 minutes to Bangor. The house was easy to find, with directions supplied by the owners. All information needed was in a binder in the house, which helped a lot too. Internet went out a few times, probably because it's a remote area. Plenty of room for sleeping for a larger party than we had. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Summary: We loved everything about the cabin! The owner is very responsive and made the experience simple and seemless. The location is perfect and the house has everything you could possibly need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. It is centralized and convenient to so many great places to visit. The cabin is very cozy and felt like home. We had a wonderful time star gazing and photographing the milky way from Flat Rock. We even captured a bit of the aurora borealis, which we have never seen before! It was amazing to see so many stars in the night sky. We even heard an owl while stargazing. The fall colors were beautiful. Our entire family had a wonderful time and we miss it already! We can't wait to go back.

Summary: Absolutely perfect cabin the the woods! The pictures do not do justice to this property! The flat rock on the lake was perfect for evening sunsets and cocktails. The proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia was reasonable. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ellsworth had everything we needed. Our hosts had the cabin wonderfully equipped and were responsive throughout the process. We highly recommend!!!
